Source(s): living in Thailand Other Travel Tips I went to tailand and veitnam on christmas 03 and it really is an experiance, all you have to watch out for is pickpocets and maleria getting raped or murdered by sleazy thai men getting mugged you have to know where to avoid a) muggers/ghettos (but you HARDLY find them) b) prostitutes..hahahaha c) the traffic. d) the situation down South..jst dont venture near the 3/4 provinces.the rest. is. fine. e) pickpockets f) they sell foreigners things at higher prics than locals cz u guys are...mucho mucho richer!! most thais around flea markets are....**bastante pobre.**... it is beutiful though. you will love it and most thais are very nice. right nw the government status is not...very good. i suggest u follow whats goin on wit thai politics czthat wil definitely affect ur stay here.!! coming home with a sexually transmitted disease http://www.pattayapeople.com This is a weekly tabloid issued from Pattaya and contains a lot of crime stories and tips for expats/ tourists.
