Wondering if anyone planning to backpack in Bangkok this November?

I'm backpacking alone in Bangkok this November.
I just thought maybe if anyone else is going there at the same time we can meet up and go around together, make friends and have fun.
Also, is the political situation in Thailand ok right now?
My family freaked out when i told them i was doing this.
Oh, i'm Malaysian by the way. ;-)

why would you backpack in Bangkok? I would think you would want to get out of Bangkok and into the country side. But if your in Bangkok try Khao San Road, that's where all the backpackers start out, sure your find someone. Good Luck
