Travel Info Is it safe to go Bangkok, Thailand now? Travel Tips i need to come up with a standard answer for this question it gets asked so much. Bangkok is safer then any western city in relationship to crimes against foreigners. As for the terrorism there has been a few bombing incidents last new years but really nothing much since. We now live in a work with terrorism all around use. As for the political situation it doesn't involved tourist and most protest are in areas not close to where foreigners visit. So the answer is yes it is safe to come here and have a great time. Source(s): living in bangkok Other Travel Tips It has never been safe to go to Bangkok - human life is very cheap in this country. No one cares about other people and with the military in power..... no human rights exists any longer. best advice: go somewhere else. It is not safe physically, and emotionally. You don't want to be in the place that nothing's work, right? People in this country, they live in a world of their own, and the system here is just a mess. I would reconsider the idea of coming here if I were you. I am Thai. I am British and have lived and worked in Bangkok for that last six years and have found no trouble, problem or violence here. It is just like any other city (even my small home city in the UK), you have to be aware and careful of where you are going. But in the tourist areas there will be no problem at all. Why not? Well, the terrorism is in the south of Thailand which is about 1000 kilometres from the city. I live in Bangkok and never been in danger caused by the terrorism before. It's like asking people in Spain if it is safe there? Do not believe the CNN . |
