Thailand weather in September? |
Travel Info I want to spend my Honey Moon (around 3 weeks) in Thailand in the beginning of September. Do you how the often will rain on that period? Travel Tips it depends on where in Thailand your going to be. on average 31 to 34c, hot, humidity with rain every day, usually short periods but can be very heavy. Rain mostly in the mid afternoon and early evening. Others September there is a thunderstorm on most days, often resulting in flooded streets but cooler nighttime temperatures. Because Bangkok is flat, you rarely find any place with more than a foot of water, and it usually drains away ... slowly ... in a few hours. By late September and October, the major rivers are high and there is sometimes permanent flooding along the river, sometimes quite deep. There is a massive investment in pumps to manage the problem, but sandbagging of economically valuable areas and flooding of adjacent areas is not uncommon. This season usually ends abruptly in late October when the winds suddenly change to the north. Asolutly correct depiction from nowhereman + shelly. September is the Monsum time. Never cold but rather comfortable temperature. If you like summer thunderstorms, it's absolutely the right place. But don't worry, short time after the sun is back. Thailand is a fantastic country with wonderful people. I living there 2 fantastic years. Was the best time in my life. Our monsoon is now, through July. By Sept we are dry and we get rain again in Dec-Jan. It rains mostly at night but occasionally we'll have a quick shower in the afternoon and then back to sunshine again. Hello. I spent my honeymoon in Thailand in Sept and yes it did rain a lot. Pretty much every day but it did not worry us at all. It actually rained on our wedding day! It normally has a very heavy downpour and then the sun comes out straight away. I would not change it at all so do ot let it put you off. The people there are wonderful as is the food! Hope you have a fantastic time. |
