No that is about it in BKK more or less Not really, tha baht is strong mainly because the greenbacks has weakened quite a fair bit plus the strength of the Thai economy, all adds to the lower exchange rate.It has been this rate since about Feb this year. yes, it is a good question and one that all of us here are asking - it is not just that the US $ is weak - the baht is strong against all currencies including the Brit Pound and Euro - I would have figured that the turmoil of the last year would/could have had a big impact in the other direction - so, who knows?? It could have something to do with the fact that the Thai stock mkt is way off its highs and people feel it has to go up as it certainly has been the last several months.. |
