Travel Info I will be in phuket for 4 days 3 nights? any recommendations on how to make full use of the days there? Travel Tips Where are you staying? are you going alone? There i a great nightlife in Phuket, but it can get a little bit much if you are traveling with a family. Days can be spent at the beach or shopping in town. Do not miss the chance to get a Thai massage at your hotel. (inexpensive and something everyone should try) Also, have you considered taking a boat trip over to Phi Phi for a day, or possibly overnight. It is a little bit quieter and very beautiful. Others Enjoy the HOT and humid weather with the mozzies. Firstly, what would you like to enjoy the vacation the most. If you are the beach lover, you can spend the whole stay with beach(es) in Phuket. Or taking a day trip to other islands nearby as Phi-Phi, Phang-Nga or even Krabi. Only Phuket itself, you can enjoy many beaches in different mood. Patong's good for night-life. Quite many tourists here the whole day & night. More relax should be Kata, Karon or even Surin beach. Less tourists than Patong. Still convenience for shopping or sight-seeing. More quiet & meet local people should be Naiyang. Nice & very calm. Water sports are able to enjoy as well with professional tour guide & equipment. Phuket's an ancient city. If you want to know the history, you should take a city trip (both half or full day). Quite interesting to know their local lives until today. Go to Laem Promthep to take a sun set picture. it's very beautiful. There are some nice restaurants at Khao Rang Hill, Phuket town plus you can enjoy night screenary of town during your dinner. Shopping lover. Around the island you can shop whatever you want. Local products til brand ones. There are many department/mega stores here. The most favorit for local & tourists would be Central Festival, town & Jungceylon, Patong (recently opened). You can enjoy shopping there the whole day if you want. Jewelry, Pearls, silk or other local products I would suggest. Actually you will see much more quality products & may forget your wallet during shopping. The show. If this is your first time to Thailand, I would suggest you to go to see Phuket Fantasea. This is the fantasea show, very easy to get this show (with/without) transportation from your hotel. Lady-boy also have here is Simon Cabaret. They are very beautiful & nice shows I can say. If you've never seen Tiffani in Pattaya, this is the first step you can taste this kind of great show. Most of the program tour in Phuket will include roundtrip transportation from your hotel. And some hotel will provide complimentary roundtrip airport transfer as well. You have to check the conditions first. Even it's not included, it's very convenience to take a taxi, just contact your hotel for the service. The taxi counter's also available at all stores. Are you golfers? There are 5 golf courses here. And the best one also located here; Blue Canyon Country Club. Johnnie Walker Classice just took place here for the 3rd time last March. Massage & Spa. Thailand is the most popular for this services especially Thai Massage. You must try one. Very easy to take a good one. You may start at your hotel or even outsides from the luxurious til the local on the beach. There are many places for this services even in the stores. Not only the massage, the spa treatment is very cool. You would love if you've try once. The most important is cuisines. A huge no of restaurants & cuisines you can enjoy. I can bet you cannot taste it all during this stay. Not only in 5-star hotels but even the vendors for the local, the food's amazing (if you know the place). But for local in some place, you should aware for the cleanliness first especially for the first visit. You stomach might not familiar for Thai/spicy food. You may remind the waiter for not spicy (Mai-Ped in Thai words). I do hope you will impress with this trip. You may re-visit as other tourists did or may discover other destinations in Thailand. If there is any problems during your visit, you are able to look for a tourist police or even local Thai people. We are delighted to welcome & assist you. I live in Phuket now. Well, the point of going to some place like Phuket is to relax, not to stress out over making the full use of your time there - you won't be graded on the accomplishments of your vacation, at least not by the Thais - so, maybe, learn to chill out and take some time not to "worry" and that might be the truly best use of your time - take a break - if you see a side trip that looks like fun, ok, do it - but most people go to Phuket to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings - have a nice few days |
