We plan on visiting Bangkok first, then heading South. We have only booked flights so far.

Travel Tips
certainly check out

http://www.tigertemple.org/eng/address.h...

bring a video camera... nobody will believe photos of you cuddling and playing with adult tigers.

Tigers happy and well treated, fully equiped and sober.

Just book first few days hotel then look around for somewhere better to stay...

Stick to thai transport... avoid VIPS busses from TAT travel agents are awful and dodgy and illegal .

the official Thai ones are brillinat.

along with thai bangkok subway and monorail trains and the bus is mega cheap.

Taxis insist on meter.

Nana and Suvkumvit and soi area is gogo bar area.

Safe good transport though.

Krabi has the rock s comming out of the sea.

Koh Tao for diving and chilled,

if on a chang mai north jungle trek take money to give to the kids who willl do a song and acts for you...

We looked total crap when we were ony told to bring a little cash and had little to give in a whip round... (not atms in jungle)

Get thai cooking lessons.

Very important.

if you have any brains you will get multiple accounts with your bank which you can transfer money between on internet and multiple visa debit cards inc you loose one.

And make one a joint account with mum back home to sort out crap.

Make sure also that travel insurance has no excess ie 拢40 conveintly the going rate for medial treatment which is excellent in Thailand

Avoid tuk tuks unless you want to be taken around dodgy rip off shops they get commission for , in particualr dodgy worthless jewels you ar told you can sell back home.

Get fake press pass and student ids for a few years. Get mates to give you photos in Koh san road.

Dont try and over haggle backward thais... they are very smart and used to conning stupid tourists, and not backward.

eat streets food, yum yum...

Note the this wont touch tap water... neither should you

I'm off to the Far East too soon! Apparantly, the usual haunts are good for partying - like Ko Sumoi (the area in the film 'The Beach') and Bangkok is also meant to have a very vibrant nightlife!
I've been advised, if you just stick to the 'tourist' route, you'll be fine - but try not to veer to far out, once you get into the rural areas, it is very different!
I'm trying to remember? The President was one, the Landmark, something like that, it had a pool on the third floor, and was fantastic. A 3* in Bangkok used to be like a 5* here and the food is great in the hotels. I wouldn't eat the street food though, and get a hep B jab just incase, and take malaria tablets just incase too. You will love it, believe me?
pattaya beach rocks!
spend time in bangkok sights and clubs are good and shopping, then head for the beach,it all depends night life i think. but where ever you end. make sure you head to a full moon party on one of the islands, starts evening of full moons. goes on till everyones had enough. you can often get there many ways, different styles for different pockets.maybe you go in style speedboat return with champagne? be safe stick together enjoy
I am going to Thailand in July again and I will spend my time in Bangkok at the same Hotel that I have used several times before, Nana Tai Mansion, I find this suits me very well. You can have a look at www.nanataimansion.com/nanatai...
You can make a reservation online. If you e-mail Songporn@nanataimansion.com you should be OK as she has very good English.
Little way down south is Pattaya, this is worth a visit also, especially Walking Street after 7.00pm when they close the road to traffic.Walking street is lined with Bars both sides and a lot else besides.
Something else that is worth a look is one of the Ladyboy shows,Tiffanny's is a good one.
If this is your first time beware of Tuk Tuk drivers, always negotiate how much they want before you start your journey.
I find that Meter Taxi are just as cheap as Tuk Tuks sometimes cheaper, again always make sure that the driver sets the Meter running as soon as you start your journey otherwise you will end up paying over the odds.If you want to take a long journey out of town you can negotiate how much you want to pay sometimes and if you want to do some of the touristy bits ,like the Floating market and The Bridge over the river Kwai, you can negotiate a price for the day and the taxi will stay with you and maybe show you some of the Bigger Temples as well. Anyway have fun in the Land of Smiles.
P.S.
Just another word of warning that going to far South is not such a good idea, as there is a bit of unrest in the far Southern provinces.
Good Luck
I wasn't trying to judge, I was just basing my answer on your description of yourself as a party girl. Maybe that means something different where you're from, but where I'm from it has a very negative connotation. Even if you're just talking about bars and dance clubs, I think you can do that anywhere in the world (even at home for a lot less money), but when you go to another country, you should take advantage of the things that are really unique to it.
