Travel Info
Hi, I plan to Bangkok next week and looking good for money hotel in SUkhumvit Area. I see Unico Grande Sukhumvit (www.unicograndesukhumvit.com) interested. Ayone have experience and could advise me where I can book the cheapest rate.

Travel Tips
Embassy hotel in city central at Sukhumit Soi 9, around 30dollars per night, is a big hotel, they are many many small hotels around ask a tuk tuk driver and they will takes you what kinds of hotel you want, most speaks some English.

Try www.asiarooms.com, there is sometimes a 24 hour turnaround for your confirmation. I even did one for my friend while I was in Bangkok in the morning and it still took over 8 hours to process, I checked in the late afternoon. There are maps, reviews and descriptions of each hotel.

Good luck
www.asiarooms.com
There are number of websites which you can use to compare and then book for yourself:
a. www.asiarooms.com
b. www.hotelthailand.com
c. www.asiatravel.com
d. www.bkk-hotels.com
e. www.agoda.com

You can find excellent deals within your budget and requirements.

Best of Luck.
The Unico Grande Sukhumvit used to be the Euro Tower Hotel.
It's an old hotel which has been refurbished (in fact, be warned, it's not finished, they are still working on some floors,so if you're plans include day time siestas, it's not ideal! No disturbances between 1800 and 0900 however).
www.hotelthailand.com offers discount rates and instant online confirmation for prepaid bookings.

The refurbishment has been quite tasteful, and you are only a few minutes walk from the Ploenchit end of Sukhumvit Road. The steps from the street to the lobby would, I guess, be a difficult climb for anyone who's no longer too sprightly. This hotel is NOT handicapped-friendly!
Stayed there last week
Try the Dynasy Inn Grande,it's only 2 years old and a 5 minute walk from Sukhumvit Rd..price should be around 2200 bht, the rooms are huge and it's guest friendly........

Whatever you do, don't stay at the Landmark Hotel, it's one of the most expensive, overrated hotels I've ever stayed at....
