There are pretty good inexpensive medical services throughout Thailand, and there is no real need to do any more preparation than you would for a trip in your own country.

You will probably need insect repellents, and sun protection cream, but these will be available locally.
If you are planning a jungle trek or you really enjoy roughing it in the wilderness, then it would be a good idea to take a course of anti-malaria treatment, but consult your doctor on this as they can have big side-effects.

You will certainly need a hepatitus and typhoid jabs to start of with. Make sure you get these at least 6 weeks before you go.

I don't think you need any vaccine before coming her. Just enjoy and relax
Just your jabs.Your doctor knows which ones.If you're staying in Bangkok dont bother with the malaria pills.Definitely take out insurance.Oh,by the way ,get one of those funny insect bite gizzmos from Boots,they zap the bite with something,dont know what,but they work,it'll probably be the best tenner you've spent.I don't think they have them even in Boot's in Thailand so get one before you go.Happy travels
