Travel Info i will move to bangkok to work and i want to know information regarding the transportation in bangkok can anybody help me? i want to have a list of bus numbers and their destinations. if i will be in latphrao area and going to rama 3. can anybody recommend the cheapest way how to get there? thanks a lot. Travel Tips Welcome to Thailand, now for the bad news, you have a very long commute, by bus alone I think it may take 1 1/2 hrs.each way, possibly more, to get from Lat Prao to Rama 3 Rd.. It may be best for you to take the subway from Lat Prao to Silom, and either bus from there or transfer to the Skytrain and go to the end of the Skytrain line at Saphan Taksin. Here's a map for that:http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/bangkok_... Then you will have to go by bus or taxi from there, it looks like the #22 bus along Charoen Krung (New Rd.) will take you to and down Rama 3 Rd.: http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/bangkok_... , look towards the bottom of the map, the small numbers are the numbers of the buses that travel on those roads. As you probably know the roads are very congested here, especially during commute hours, so if are able to take the subway and/or skytrain that can considerably cut your commute time. Since I've never done the commute you are going to take, I don't know for sure the best way, hopefully you'll find a way that won't drive you nuts. Maybe somebody at your work can be more helpful. Good luck. Source(s): live in Bkk Other Travel Tips why bangkok its sound dirty! Visit Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) site for information on bus routes http://www.bmta.co.th/en/index.php... |
