American expatriot in Thailand please tell me about an extended vacation for some optional medical work.? |
Travel Info Retired 74 year old attorney looking to make a many-month stay as much fun as I can. Travel Tips how about applying for a retirement visa good for one year and then can extend it every year. Check with Thai embassy in your country for procedures Others Hi - I am an American living here in Thai... Medical attention is relatively inexpensive and can be exceptionally good, depending on where you have the work done... Fun, well, this is a nation where fun is no problem.. Thai people are light hearted and love a good time. They have wonderful senses of humor and it certainly lives up to the nickname, land of smiles.. If your question is about visa, you are given 30 days at your point of entry - I believe it is easily extended by making a visa run to the border and getting it stamped but you might be able to get a 90 tourist visa in the USA - call your nearest Thai consulate and askm or just come on over and deal with it here... if you have more specific questions, feel free to email me - [ click on my name and that will bring you to my "sight" and you can contact me from there.. good luck - good choice - ps - my email address is kenk2424@yahoo.com - feel free to contact me.. |
