I've got to agree with everyone saying ATM card (or credit card advance) is more convenient. I have used Travelers checks for years but I think I'm going to quit it. It seems like exchanges have gotten more and more picky about travelers checks. I've had to re-sign checks and even been told that my signature was different from the signature that I initially wrote when I received the checks and have the exchange refuse them. It's just gotten rediculous. No more. Stick to an ATM or credit card. You might want to bring some cash too just as an emergency backup.

You'd be better off exchanging your cash for baht at the airport or hotel when you arrive. Travelers checks are very impractical when dealing with Thai lifestyle.

i advise you to use baht cash and exchange it at siam centre because it is safe there
you can cash traverlers checks in most of the tourist areas,and they are generally open till late.There will be a additional charge for every check you cash,and most of the money changers are operated by banks, only problem is that, you will have to carry your passport,everytime you want to cash a T/C.
You will be able to cash traveller's cheques at most Thai banks, but you will need to always take your passport. It's a lot more convenient to use ATMs instead - the exchange rate is pretty much the same and ATMs are everywhere. If you have a Visa or Mastercard, then you're all set. You might want to call the CC company before you travel to tell them you are in Thailand to prevent them blocking transactions
Yes you can, but it may be more convenient if you can bring an international ATM card and use it like back home. Plenty of ATM machines all over Thailand.
