How long does it take 2 get from the grand palace 2 bangkok airport?? |
Travel Info got overnight stay near grand palace, my flight leave at 4pm on a friday afternoon from new bkk airport, what time should i leave my hotel(by taxi) if i wanna get to the airport for 2pm? thanks in advance. Travel Tips I recently left the same area of Bangkok and went to the new airport for a 4:30 flight on a Thursday. It took us about an hour in a cab, and that was on the regular highways (no toll roads). So if you'd like to be there by 2:00, you should leave at about 1:00. Source(s): Life experience. Other Travel Tips Would say probably around 1245 (from memory airport is about 40 mins from airport in good traffic but Bangkok traffic can be a nightmare) Best idea is e-mail the hotel your staying in and they will tell you whats best. About 1pm will be fine. You really need not be at airport 2 hours before your take-off. 2 hours for checkin in plenty of time, so I would allow an hour to get from the centre of BKK by Taxi. The taxis will know best how to get there, we did it on a Friday afternoon and spent 3 hours in the new airport which has plenty of places to eat and drink and spend your money, but why do that when there is much more to enjoy in BKK ? Which airport? Bangkok has two international airports. Im guessing you are flying from the new one which is much further away than the old one. I suggest you leave at 12:30pm because the traffice can be heavy sometimes in Bangkok Probably allow an hour but if you hit traffic you could be looking at 2-3 days! Bangkok is notorious for traffic gridlock. At times, everything stops and you see people getting out of taxis and walking to their destination. Whenever possible use the Sky Train or the underground system....they fly right through traffic jams. |
