It is not really magic powder. It helps cool the skin because of the ingredients in the powder that gives u a tingling feeling... best right after a shower,,,,
most Thais will use some form of powder for their body after a shower too keep them dry and to prevent that sticky feeling u get from being in a humid climate such as thailand as Thailand....
OH!!! back to to the ponds magic powder it also helps for heat rash that ppl (and most westerners) tend to get.
The MOST WELL KNOWN OF THESE TYPES OF COOLING POWDERS IN THAILAND IS ST. LUKE's(known by thais as "bang ta ngoo" or "snake brand powder"

It can be bought anywhere in Thailand.....from grocery stores to convenient stores...to mom and pop shop's.....

i don't use it. so it must be something about the white powder they like. do you think they snort it?
Sounds like the first layer of make up for woman to me. But, if you don't know what it is, and its use, don't go for it. Why do you need to buy something that you don't want?? Go for CP five stars Chicken BBQ, it's better, and very cheap. I mean the whole chicken is less than 2 dollars.
It is not really magic powder. Just talcum to cool the body in the heat. You can get in any 7/11 or Family Mart or department stores or supermarkets or roadside stalls or practically anywhere in Bangkok.
