Krabi or Koh Samui?

Which of these two is a better stay? If so, which resort is the best in Krabi and in Koh Samui?

I've stayed in both places and I prefer Krabi a little more, because it is not quite as touristy as Samui, however, aside from that, both places are a lot alike. I think Krabi was a little nicer and not quite so expensive......
I stayed at the Chaweng Buri Resort in Samui, it's right on the beach (awesome, but expensive).....Cliff Ao Nang Resort in Krabi (beautiful, but a 15 minute walk from the beach)

everybody goes to chaweng on koh samui,but I think choengmon is better for peace and quiet.There's not much to do there except relax but it's just a short ride to chaweng for partying
krabi is pretty much the same as samui,why not do both you can fly from krabi/samui cheaply

Both are nice, Samui is more commercial now. What about Hua Hin or Koh Pee Pee or Koh Panga?

I depends what you want. Krabi is really the back-packing area along the east coast of Thailand. There's are plenty of fantastic beaches and the islands are great to explore. I recently came back from samui though where I found a villa through these guys http://www.holiday-velvet.com/ko-samui... and was really surprised by the island. I thought it was going to be package holiday destination of the year but if you get away from Cheweng, which is not hard, there are some fantastic deserted beaches where you can kick back and enjoy.
