Me & my friends want to go to Thailand. anyone know the easiest & fastest way to go to Phuket from Bangkok? |
Travel Info of course this is excluding travelling by airplane. maybe anyone can share their experience travelling from Bangkok to Phuket? thanx a lot! Travel Tips Only 2 choices by road or flying only. No train to Phuket. Like others said, bus is too long time journey, about 12 hours. And quite risky to have accident especially during holidays. Airplan would be the best way. Safe & save. There are some low cost airlines from Bangkok to Phuket. Check it out, I would suggest if your concerns is budget. Source(s): www.nokair.com - now there is a promotion of THB 3 (before taxes) for the 3rd anniversary. or www.airasia.com I'm residing in Phuket now Other Travel Tips aaaaach Phukit only other way is bus or train. I don't recommend the train. You can take the bus for about $15 from the Southern Bus Terminal in Pinklao. Take a VIP 24 passengers is the best, It would take about 12 to 15 hours for the trip. You can take a night coach and be there in the morning. Why not fly?Is it the travel experience you want? The bus journey is horrendous(i hate buses)and it'll mean a day of your holiday wasted. Most of the journey isn't at all scenic and will most probably be at night anyway. You can make a compromise, fly down to Surat Thanni with one2go for 1800bht or thai airways for double that ,1/2 bus ride into Surat then a 4/5 hour bus down to Phuket, which is the only scenic part of the bkk -phuket road, going past Phang Nga bay. Ok,that sounds like a bit of messing about but it's simple, reliable and a whole lot better than bussing. If you really are adverse to flying you could use the train to Surat Thanni(phun phin) station and get a bus from there Have fun You are asking for the "easiest" and "fastest" way but exclude flying. That really only leaves bus - but be warned... it is a long trip and not all that comfortable. But if you definitely cannot fly then bus will have to do. Have a great trip. Cheers I have to ask where you are travelling from in the first place? are you driving to Thailand? Probably not. Which leads me to my next question, why wouldn't you want to fly. The flight from Phuket to Bangkok is only an hour & 20 mins long, much more comfortable and is very cheap through somebody like Nokair. Unless there is some reason why it is really not possible for you to fly I would highly suggest you change your mind. |
