Thailand...where to go? 5 girls traveling together.? |
Travel Info Okay...so i've already posted a few questions. And i've gotten plenty of replies on whether to go to Phuket or Pattaya... From what i've gathered, pattaya is a bit run down... and phuket is nicer but it's also run down in some areas. It is a bit more expensive in phuket but is it worth it? Or, if we stayed in pattaya...could we take daily tours to islands in that area where the beaches are nicer.... We are from Hawaii...so we won't be spending too much time laying out on the beach...more traveling by boats .... What we want from this vacation is to experience the culture and to do some things out of the norm .... 1. elephant trekking 2. chartered boat rides to remote islands with beautiful beaches ...jet skiing, parasailing etc... 3. clubbing...maybe beach parties as well... 4. crocadile farms and zoos definitly going to do bangkok for a few days first..shopping, markets, temples... but if anyone has any ideas on where else we should go while in thailand...please let me know !!! Travel Tips Ok since you are from Hawaii you should spend just a little time over in Pattaya, the beaches are not really that great. You would be able to do jet skiing and parasailing thing (both can be comercially found in Coral Island or Kor Lan as the locals call it). You should also visit the Go Go Bars for women when cute guys dance topless and only wearing tight shorts (much like bicycle pants but shorter). There are also male strip club that you ladies may have fun together in. Clubbing in Pattaya is also great - try out Pattaya Slim quite happening. For elephant treckking you should go up to chiang mai. You will be able to see really beautiful scenery there. Handy craft is also avaliable there as well. So you can soak in some thai culture. Of couse you have to spend time in Bangkok to get your shopping done ... The Croc farms, Floating Market and Rose Garden is worth a visit (takes the better half of the day - spend the night clubbing) For clubbing, you should try local joints - its a lot more fun. I would recommand Dance Fever or Hollywood they are located just next to each other on Ratchada road. If you want to club in more westernize areas try RCA - Slim and Route66 are the 2 biggest ones there now. Of cos try to plan your stay in bangkok over a weekend so you can visit the weekend market. Last but not least .... get a massage while you are there !! Have fun. Have everything your looking for and I think nicer. you can take a taxi boat to a number of small beach islands or even to Phi Phi which is closer then from Phuket. |
