The site below is a listing of Thai Buddhist temples in the United States. The temple you are asking about is of the Thai Bikkhus Council. Which I cannot find anything in english right now. There is a similar one here in Los Angeles. They are quite friendly. I think it would be quite interesting especially since next month is the Thai New Year and there would be a big celebration around April 13 to April 16th. There will probably be a lot of Thai people and foods available on the Temple grounds. It would give them exposure to another ethnic group which has slightly different beliefs. The ONE thing to keep in mind is that the Thai revere the lamas just below the King of Thailand. In buddhism , there is no god, Buddha was a teacher. And they would get to see how the Thai teenagers are not much different. Just observing a different religion.

Ask them and show them the second website. It has pictures and the history and see if it interests them. It is mostly pictures from the LA Temple.

I hope I helped.

Thais are very friendly - I am sure the kids will have fun or not and then go home,,, but I vote interesting and cool
I have gone to the Buddhist temple on 46 steet in Queens. So, far as I can tell the services are in the Thai language. Daily meditation 6am, Sunday 6am and 6:30 pm. The people are friendly and one of more senior monks is very friend, but I have trouble understanding his English. The temple is not elaborate but it is nice. There are 2 leves but I have only been to the ground level temple. I hope this helps.
