Beach Bungalows in Thailand ? |
Travel Info I was just wondering if alot of beaches had Bungalows to stay in as this really appeals to me, Round Krabi, Phi Phi and Koh Samui. Are there quite alot around? or would i have trouble finding some? also how safe are they and cost, is it one of the cheaper option's? Thanks in advance Im off in May so i believe thats low season... Travel Tips Hi i'm an English guy living in Chiang Mai in the North of Thailand.I've travelled all the places you've mentioned and the beach hut living is as good as you'l think it is,waking up in the morning and walking in to the sea is one of the best feelings in the world. Regards to your question well there are loads of places for you to choose its very easy to get a Beach hut everything here is made easy for tourists, when you travel to anywhere there are Thai people who own these resorts and and will meet you where you arrive i.e ports and places of arrival they will ask you if you have anywhere to stay if not they will show you photos of there resorts and beach huts and prices and you decide if you wanna stay there its all easy done worry. You can pay anywhere from 300 baht a night for a basic hut with shower and toilet upto 1000 baht for a concrete hut on the beach with air con and all the amenities but I thin if your gonna live in hut all you need is a good bed and a bog and a balcony with a hammock to relax and enjoy your views. On Samui I can recommend Moon Bungalows i've stayed there twice and she has a great hut right in the beach for 700 baht a night... Your coming in the low season which is the best less people and cheaper prices and great weather.. Enjoy your time in Thailand heres some helpful phrase for you to learn Sawadee ka/kap (Hello) Men say Kap women say ka Mai ped Not spicy Ped nid noi Little spicy Sabai dee mai How are you Sabai dee I'm fine Khob khun Ka/Kap Thankyou Chock dee na Best wishes to you mai bpen rai Never mind/ Your Welcome Mai ow Not now (Good for Tuk Tuk drivers) Tow rai How much Others Sure, there are many and they vary as to quality and services from total luxury to totally primitive..... and all that lies btwn.. of course, the name places will be more expensive but you can get to slightly out of the way places, islands, and I do know of some barely, rarely inhabited beaches, quite pristine if you are looking to be alone... one of the touristy places I have sort of enjoyed is Koh Chang mostly because you can get a bungalow on the beach and they have little bambbo hut bars and restaurants up and down the beach - so, you never really have to leave the beach.. hey, have a great timeless time.. In the main tourist areas, like the ones you mentioned, bungalows/guesthouses are everywhere. I went to Samui in May a few years ago and had no problem getting a cheap bungalow on Chaweng Beach. It is a much cheaper option than a resort and when you give up amenities like A/C, and hot water, you can get pretty cheap. I found them to be as safe as anywhere I've ever stayed but as a general rule, don't leave valuables unattended. Just pick up a Lonely Planet for a list of bungalows to choose from. Thailand is one of favorite places in the world and can't wait to go back. Have fun! There are plenty of bungalows around the places that you listed and they are the budget option especially in May when you are going as it is out of season so prices are reduced and you will have no problem with availability. In these areas all accommodation tends to be safe, yes they are essentially just wooden huts that are easy to brake into but it never seams to happen. Also stopping in this kind of accommodation you are more likely to meet up with people and this will add to your holiday! Have fun... yeah i think they are safe and not too expensive have nice holiday lol There are beach bungalows in the places you mention. Check the hotel guides in those places to select suitable ones. There will be many on the beaches. Just what you are looking for. Cost will depend on the grade and name of the place. If it is a premiere brand, it will be expensive. But there will be other budget ones around. |
