What do u think? |
Travel Info well,i notice that most of backpacker in thailand, they have very bad smell. i know that the weather here is very very hot,but hygine is another thing though. but for foreiners who work or live here,it's different, they have good smells. look hygine. so it means "bad smell" is the symbol or sign of backpacker? what do u think? ps. i know that some of those smelly backpackers will blame me for this question. it's okay,i don't mind, but please take a shower everyday (then u will have a better smell),before u gonna blame me for the question. Travel Tips The reason for bad smell is not because you are a backpacker, it is because you do not take a shower. Also the bad smell is from not wahing your clothes. You can take a shower and smell good and then put on dirty sweaty clothes and you are going to smell. Backpackers that take showers and wash their clothes should not have body odor. Others Sometime, back packer sleep on the street or tent without the access to water closet. I don't think you can really stereotype 'backpackers' with bad body odor. I once was a backpacker in Thailand. My sister and I was backpacking to Nan province and stayed at the cheapest guesthouse, though we took shower every night. We didn't sweat as much as foreigners, thus we didn't smell as bad. Please do believe me that most Westerners especially those from Northern hemisphere are not accustomed to our hot and humid climate in Thailand. Take my husband (an American born German) for instance. Everytime we visited Thailand, he took a shower morning and night and yet still had strong body odor. He was continuously sweating which was mostly the root of the strong body odor. Sawadee Kik, but really, if you are walking around whole day with not much chance of a rest to wash up, in the hot humid weather, you are likely to smell too. Well, bakpackers are usually on very low budget, their interest is to travel and see as much as they can despite their low budget. Usually they are young and adventourous and want to experience new cultures. So really cannot stereotype them. Cause there will be backpackers who will travel from guesthouse to guesthouse and they will not likely to be smelly. While the others may be on the streets. So maybe the next time you smell any backpackers, how about offering them a place to freshen up? Some of them may not know the language and are shy to ask for favours, you know. |
