Where is Kuttanadu and what is the peculiarity about that?

Kuttanadu is a beautiful place in Kerala's Alappuzha (formerly Alleppey) District with backwaters, coconut palms bordering the inland rivers. This is a region than a particular place which spreads in the revenue districts of Alappuzha and Kottayam. Kuttanadu is famous for its "Snake boat Races". During the Onam (Local harvest festival) season there will be a number of 'snake boat races' conducted there.
