I belive most of them r gone and handed over this great city to Immigrants.

In Toronto proper there really is only a minority of people with a Canadian background. The vast majority of the population is immigrant...I mean I was born here but I don't have an iota of Canadian in my family. The link below will give you a more concrete idea of the demographics in Toronto.

Is this a nice way of saying "how many white people live in Toronto"?

Probably about 50%
That question doesn't make any sense. What is a Canadian? You can't be ethnically Canadian. Being Canadian is a way of life and a state of mind.
BEing Canadian is not a nationality but a way of life living in Canada. If you are talking about white born Canadians you will see that all are products of european immigrants.

Canada boasts a mosaic and we are very proud of not being concerned that you have to white to be Canadian, we are not too concerned about people's ethnic background
