Should i sell my furniture?

Travel Info
my family of five are immigrating to toronto next year . we do not know if we should sell all our furniture and buy new or ship all our stuff from the uk ,it will cost about 拢2000 to ship items.what is your opinion about buying new could we buy basics for the house for the cost of shipment. all ideas welcome.

Travel Tips
I will suggest bring only that stuff which u have more emotional attachment like some gits from loved ones etc.
Big furniture items u can buy here.
Some times Bricks have very good deals i recently purchased a 7 seater leather Sofa and a double bed on very very good price from them.
Best of luck

Unless you have antiques, heirlooms, or other items of sentimental value, or are just really attached to your furniture, I would buy new.

DO expect to purchase new electronics ... Television, computers, game systems, and the like, as the electrical systems are different in North America, and your U.K. electronics, even with adapters, will have a shorter lifespan.

.
If you consider what you would sell your goods for, it would likely be just as easy to buy new items once you arrive here. Shipping would be best for the objects that you absolutely must keep, but the basics like sofas and chairs are just as cheaply purchased here.
