What are the wealthiest and nicest towns around Toronto? |
Travel Info We might be moving to the Toronto area and I was just wondering what are some of the nicest towns around there. We are looking for a town that is not necessarily rich, but wealthy, like upper middle class. We want to have good restaurants nearby, and a quaint downtown, good schools, and low crime, but also not a lot of cookie cutter houses, or high density neighborhoods, where all of the houses look the same. Please match the correct town for me and my family :) but also give me links to websites that have statistics, demographics on certain areas around toronto. match me with a town, but also tell me reputations and descriptioons of a lot of areas around toronto! Thank You! your help is much appreciated :) Travel Tips Like the others said Oakville is very nice and very upmarket. I know that it is home to Sheridan College a well proclaimed college for its arts and animation programs. Comparable to Oakville is Burlington. They call it the bedroom city because people live in Burlington and commute to Toronto. An apartment would cost you $2,000 and a town hours, $3,000 while house in areas within Burlington such as Headone Forest and Millcroft, the Orchid and Bronte Creek start at $4,000/$5,000 and go up from there. These are however the more up market places. There are many other lovely places around Burlington. If you want to have a nice dinner and walk go to Down Town Burlington. It is very quit part of town with little shops and cute restaurants, some pubs and bars. Everything in this city is spotless and adored with flowers in the summer and people walking their Labradors, riding bikes and playing in the many play grounds and parks. Burlington is home to many good schools that are all close by - Catholic, Private and Public. The public facilities are great and everything is very convenient. It is a safe community and a wonderful place to raise a family I have not met anyone who is unhappy in Burlington. There are many opportunities for young families to grow in a close knit community. Others The people living in the town of Oakville will say that they are the best because a lot of lawyers and career people live there. There are many other nice areas. Richmond Hill is nice too and a more "pricey" town. http://www.oakville.ca/aboutoakville.htm... http://www.richmondhill.ca/homepage.asp... Oakville is really nice. I lived in missisaugua when I was young and it was middle class. Niagara on the Lake Oak ville and Bridle path in north york toronto |
