Is there a good, safe place to park my car for free in North Toronto??

Travel Info
I'm driving into Toronto on Saturday and there's no way I'm going to take my car into downtown, because driving indowntown Toronto is nothing short of organised chaos.

I'm looking to park somewhere in North York, then take the subway into the city. Any suggestions of where I can park for free for the day? Looking for some place near the 401.

Cheers.

Travel Tips
Yorkdale is a nightmare to get into and out of. Wilson Station (main lot) is right off the Allen. Take Allen North to Wilson Heights, go South and the first lot is Wilson, park there, it's free on the weekends. Walk towards the bridge and into the Station. If you go into the side door on the lot you can only enter with tokens or Metropass. To leave just go left out of the lot and follow the signs. You will be on the 401 in about 2 minutes opposed to 10 from Yorkdale. I do it everyday. I work in BCE and leave my house at 8:15. I arrive at the station at 8:20, jump on the subway, get off at Union, grab a coffee and am in my chair by 8:55. Always less hassles on the University / Spadina line.

Here is the list of TTC parking which is always free on weekends. Source(s): http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/parking.htm...

Park at Yorkdale mall and jump on the subway

=)
I would look for a hospital or near a police station
TTC parking is free on weekends. There's a huge TTC parking lot at Finch station.

Other than that, Yorkdale or Fairview mall.
I am with Carrie on this one. If the parking is free, I would go to York Mills Station as there is a lot on the north west corner. So get off the 401 at Yonge St., and head south down the hill and then make a right at York Mills/Wilson.
