Local Toronto Restruants?

I'm visiting Toronto in October and wanted to know some good local restruants to dine at. Any type of food, not too expensive though, like just casual sit down restruants.

I just dont want to be eatting fast food and stuff that they have here in the US.

Depends where you are visiting in Toronto. What type of food do you like? Toronto is very diverse. Depending on where in the city, not too expensive can mean different amounts. Your best bet is to get a guide to the city when you are here. It will list the most popular eating places. Another option is to check the Toronto Yellow Pages. There is a huge section on restaurants with all cultures represented.
If I were you I would download Google Earth. They have an option that shows just about every restaurant in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) or go on the website www.restaurantica.com

Being a former chef who worked for many years in Toronto, you are able to enjoy many different cusines and at reasonable prices, we have a number of ethnic areas, Chinese, Indian, Greek, Eastern European and the run of the mill family/roadhouse style places.

Also there are a number of buffet style places and we have everything from African to Yugoslavian, most places are inexpensive and the staffs all are fluent in english and will help you with any questions you have.

I tried everything in my days and the are a few unique places, Tibetian, Iranian, Sri Lankan and Ghanian. All are and adventure but are not to strange.
