What will be the average monthly expenditure for a couple (with 1 kid) living in Toronto? |
Travel Info I am software programmer with 7 Yrs experience. My employer is asking me to get relocated to Toronto. But I am not sure how much will be a decent offer which I should ask for or accept. Travel Tips As of 2003, gross monthly INCOME for Toronto ON was: Lowest household income = $800 Median household income = $5300 Highest household income = $21750 Taxes for those making more than $4000/month gross income is approximately 45 percent. Average expenses = $2100 (includes rent, food, gas/insurance for vehicle, insurance for goods and people, minimal health care expenses, and utilities) Note that the expenses come out of what remains after tax ... leaving an estimated $800 in the bank at the end of the month, barring unforeseen expenditures. Others My partner and I have no children. Together we make just over $100,000 per year before taxes, and we're not exactly rolling in the dough. We're comfortable - we rent a nice house downtown, we're saving, we have a new car, and we travel once a year, but we're certainly not rich. (Then again we have debt - especially him - but I guess our debt payments are about the same cost as a child.) Basically, expect rent to be approx $1300-2000 per month for a rented condo, house or apartment. Houses downtown are pretty costly - at least $400,000 for a bungalow, and that's not even in a really good central location. Houses in suburbia are bigger and a little cheaper. An Over view of Monthly expenses Accomodation 650 to 5000 ur choice Grocery 500 to 600 cell 45-65 land line 45 Cable 45 to 150 Car Insurance 100 to 450 weekend expense 200 to 1000 Car Lease 125 to 750 i hope i will help to Budget |
