It would benefit from more funding, but yes, it works well. It's about $2CDN per ride. It is in the form of a large U with a horizontal line cutting across the middle. This is efficient for downtown, but the city is growing outward and would work better for commuters if they extended the line.

I was a resident there for 12 years when working as a chef, the system is clean and efficnet, runs 24 hours in most areas, the buses and streetcars are well mantianed and including the subway they are air conditioned for travel in the summer months.

I lived all over the city, Cabbagetown, The Annex, Forest Hill, Bathurst and Wilson and downtown. I found it was easy to get around and your transfer is go for 1 hour so you can stop and do things and then go on your way.

I would say as I also worked in Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton and Halifax it is one of the better transit systems, and it covers with the newer ares and north of the city a large area, you just have to find the best route to take and then you well off.
