Best areas to live in Toronto (or outlying burbs?)? |
Travel Info I'm thinking of relocation options, and Toronto is very tempting. What are some reasonably priced, safe neighborhoods to live in? I'm looking for a place that isn't severely over-crowded (as in if you have a car you don't have to drive for a half hour looking for parking,) has a fairly laid-back, liberal atmosphere, has coffee shops and shopping, and is close to public transportation in case something were to happen to my car. Any suggestions? Travel Tips You pose a tough question. But from what you are asking--Yorkville is nice. Cafes and little shops--or Bloor West Village. There is also Willowdale, but that is uptown. The beaches, the Annex, Broadview, Mimico, the Bluffs, Long Branch, Christie Pits and more--Kensington, the the Danforth. I ramble on--but come and enjoy TO --she's a great town. Others Try Scarborough - nice shopping mall along the Kingston Road Dint try Scarborough unless you want to get shot raped or your car stolen. Port credit is nice, houses are not cheep but to rent an apartment is not bad, It is right by the lake with nice parks, restaurants, coffee shops, and walking distance to the GO Train. It also has Low Crime and the parking is not too bad. But if You live around Lakeshore and Hwy 10 you would not need a car as every thing you would want including the GO Train is in walking distance. |
