Regarding the answer from Tynisha, now I KNOW for a fact that this is a fradulent letter because I have the EXACT SAME client ID as is listed in your letter - the ONLY difference in the letter was in the contact person and telephone number to call, the contact number listed for me is Teri Branson with the contact number of 1-604-722-8471. I decided to have some fun with them and called the number which was unattended with an outgoing message to leave name and phone number so I left them my name and one of my eVoice numbers which is an incoming calls only phone number making it totally unattended and making it so they must leave a message IF they call back. I am in addition sending the letter along to the mail fraud department of the US Postal Service where it rightfully belongs for prosecution. The "check" that was enclosed was for $2,495.30 and was supposedly written by Sprint North Supply (with the familiar logo of Sprint Telecommunications) at 600 New Century Parkway, New Century, KS 66031-8000 and the telephone number of 1-778-552-7758. A letter sent to me by Interac Universal Promotions. My Wife received a letter just like this..and a check.. and when we called the number on the form no one answered. i called the number on the check which is supposed to be out of kansas and they said the account is in good standing. so i then looked up the number to find out that it is actually out of Aldergrove, Britsh columbia (canada) so we called the bank on the check "wells fargo" and they said that it was a scam.. and that i should bring the check in so they can make copies of it. i didn't even need to give them the check # they just asked for the company name and told me they had recevied emails that it is a scam..so there you go everyone..Damn canadians!!! |
