I want to fly from FLorida to the closest American city to Toronto. What city would that be? |

Travel Tips The previous answer of Niagara Falls, NY would be correct but you'll never get a flight there, unles you pack yourself in a Fedex box and ship yourself over night. NFIA is pretty much charters and freight, very little regular passenger traffic. Buffalo would be the closest airport that you can fly into. Detroit would be closer to 4 hours from Toronto. The only way you could get from Detroit to Toronto in 3 hours would be if you rent a rocket sled from the hertz at the Detroit airport. The previous answers putting Toronto about a 2 hour drive from Buffalo would be correct. Try to avoid making the drive to Toronto on a weekday between about 8-10 am as traffic starts to build around Burlington and just gets worse as you head to Toronto. Others Buffalo, New York. Would take about 2 hrs. it is about 100 miles from Buffalo, NY to Toronto, Ontario and would take about 2 hours. I strongly suspect that at this time you would have a problem entering Canada without a passport. Border crossings have gotten much more difficult since 9 11. Buffalo/Niagara Falls is the closest and it would take about 2 hours to get to Downtown Toronto :) Good Luck!
