What is the Eaton Centre called now, and is it better than when it was known as the Eaton Centre? |
Travel Info What is the Eaton Centre called now, and is it better than when it was known as the Eaton Centre? Travel Tips It's still called the Eaton Centre, even though there is no longer any Eaton's department store. Strange, but true. Is it better? I haven't seen much change over the years. It seems like it's pretty much the same thing. The stores change slightly from time to time. I wonder when you were there last. The CN Tower is still called that although CN no longer owns it. CN stands for the railway company, Canadian National. Because it's such an icon, you can't just throw away the name. Now apparently the CN is supposed to stand for Canada's National Tower. Weird. Like some guy in Vancouver is going to tell his visiting friends that Canada's "national tower" is in Toronto. Others It's still called the Toronto Eaton Centre and it's celebrating it's 30th anniversary this year. It's pretty much the same, has a few different stores. http://www.torontoeatoncentre.com/home/i... Its still called the Eaton Centre...even though, Eatons is long gone.... I believe it is still Eaton Centre! . . . . Dundas square is still Dundas too! I wish I would go there in order to Dundas for some time!. . . . I used to pick women from there! :-)) Its still called Eaton Centre, only land mark we changed is SKY DOME to ROGERS CENTRE |
