As a Calgarian who drives to Toronto about once a year, I can tell you that it's pretty long. It's roughly 3500km using the major highways and although I've done it nonstop in under 48hrs, I wouldn't recommend it.

If you're driving, it'd realistically take 3 days. One stopover in Thunder Bay and one stopover in Regina.

If you wish to take the bus, you can take the Greyhound which will do it in 2 days but it'll probably cost you over $300 and it won't be comfortable.

Taking a plane isn't exactly cheap - especially during the summer when it's peak tourist season in the Rockies. However, the flight will only take 3.5hrs and as a bonus, you'll pur your clock back 2hrs upon arrival so it'll only take 1.5hrs out of the day.

If you look hard enough, you may be able to snatch a deal but expect to pay around $500 during the months of June through August.

Oh... as far as the train is concerned, it'll probably cost even more than a plane so don't even bother.
