Travel Info Is one year baby need passport to travel within canada only.? Travel Tips If you're a Canadian Citizen your baby only needs a birth certificate to travel within Canada!! Others Yes, we all do. Not to get into Canada, but to get back into US. your question does not provide enough information.are you already in Canada? Not yet. If you and the baby are U.S. citizens, you can still travel to and from Canada by car with a birth certificate (and a picture ID for you). They have recently changed the requirements for traveling to Canada by air and boat, so you should be OK with a birth certificate. But all that changes at the end of the year. Starting January 1, 2008, everyone (regardless of age) MUST have a passport to travel outside the United States -- you may be able to get out of the country, but you'll have one heck of a time trying to get back in. I work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection A one-year old should be entered on his or her parents' passport. But if you are travelling only within Canada, you don't need a passport. You only need a passport when you go from one country to another. |
