Beaches near toronto?

Lake Ontario has beaches all along its shore...they may not be the cleanest...and they're around 70 degrees, but hey, they're the only beaches around that part that i know of

There are also some beaches (I am not so certain of this now) in the beaches area? (i am sure soemone will confirm)
I do know that Long Point, Port Dover ect all have great places to swim, and the communities offer a great escape from the city.
Not sure how far Wasaga Beach is but i think it is further but it is also a great beach to go to!
Toronto itself has an area called "The Beaches" but it isnt the cleanest place.

If you want to drive go to Port Dover, Wasaga Beach, Grand Bend, Sauble Beach or Port Dalhousie.
Woodbine Beach at Ashbridges Bay is the major urban beach, outside of Toronto there is Wasaga beach an hour or so north, crystal beach on lake erie near fort erie, the sandbanks a little over 1 hour east of toronto. They are all nice beaches
Wasaga Beach is probably the best, its about 1.5 to 2 hours drive from Toronto, but its worth it. There's a beach near Ontario Place too, but I forget the name of it. Half of it is nudist, though, and there are a number of creepy naked men there.
