Where would I go to change the currency of my money from US dollars to CAN dollars?

Travel Info
I'm doing a school project that requires me to plan a 3 day trip to anywhere in Canada. I've chosen to go to Toronto, Ontario, Canada and I need to find out where I would go to change my US money into Canadian money within the distance of Ramada Hotel & Suites on 300 Jarvis St to the St. Lawerence Market
in Toronto on 92 Front St East?

Travel Tips
I don't think the hotel does it except for payment for their rooms. If you want pocket money, you could exchange it at any bank or a currency exchange / foreign exchange.

BMO (Bank of Montreal) at 80 Front Street East, very close to Jarvis St., accross the street from the St.Lawrence Market.

The closest place to the hotel is at 1 Carlton Street, at Yonge street, just a very short walk from your hotel. Your hotel is at Jarvis at Carlton. Its Carlton Currency Exchange, www.carltoncurrency.ca

There is also 366 Bay Street, (Bay Street is Canada's "Wall Street") Bendix Currency Exchange.

You can see addresses and locations on the city website, www.toronto.ca click on Toronto Maps on the bottom left, then on the next webpage near the top left, etc..

Others
You will need to find out if there is a large bank, a currency exchange, or an airport in that area, or possibly if the hotel will. there is generally a fee to do this.
Having lived in Italy for 4 years, I would suggest asking at the hotel desk where the closest exchange is. Otherwise, just look for any bank.
Experience
There isn't a fee if you are a member at the bank, so even if you don't have a bank account of your own, you should go with your parents to their bank and change money there.
You also might be able to pay with US dollars.
And the hotel itself might do moneychanging for its guests (although it's probably not going to have a huge amount of cash on hand). Call and ask them.
Actually, just call and ask the hotel if there's anywhere in the area that can change money. The concierge will certainly know.
Hi, When we have traveled in Canada and stayed at a hotel, there usually was an information desk to handle all your questions. They have a money exchange but it was a little lower then the bank.It saved us a lot of running around looking for a bank.We got all our questions answered at the hotel Information desk. Good Luck ROSCO
Enjoy your trip to Canada!
