What is the best hotel to stay in downtown toronto? |
Travel Info price is not a worry, needs to be a good hotel! Travel Tips I've stayed in a couple of "boutique" hotels in downtown Toronto. If you don't want the huge mega-hotel experience I can highly recommend them. The Soho Metropolitan is in the theatre district, has a friendly and helpful staff and fantastic large bathrooms. http://www.metropolitan.com/soho/... The Cosmopolitan is right in the heart of downtown, near Yonge and Bloor. They are going for a "zen" kind of feel - they have a spa attached and have extremely comfortable beds. It's great if you are staying for more than an overnight as the rooms have little kitchenettes. There is a bar and a restaurant, but no lobby to speak of and a very unassuming entrance down a small side-street. But it is my personal favourite in Toronto. http://www.cosmotoronto.com/ Otherwise, the usual mega-hotels - the Sheraton, Delta Chelsea, Intercontinental, Hyatt are all highly rated. Others find more on hotels at http://www.utterlyboring.com/ Any street Check out Travelocity.com It will give you the rates of the area you want to stay in AND feedback from previous guest of the hotel. Very helpful. The feedback is based on a "star rating". And people are honest ... everything from crappy towels, great service, sticky carpet, comfortable beds ... I've seen it all on there. It's a nice heads up. My husband and I used it for our 2nd anniversary - turned out to be a great hotel, just like the feedback said. The Royal York on Front. It is the best I have ever stayed at anywhere. If you are visiting in the bad weather there is an underground concourse to which will take you downtown. It has good food and room service. The rooms are massive and comfortable. It feels like luxury at every turn. I had to check with my husband....I had the name wrong the first time. |
