Travel to toronto frm kerala alone for the first time? |
Travel Info im planning to immigrate to (toronto)canada ,where my husband is settled,i hav never traveled in flight befor, im planning to go with in this feb ,is it safe to travel alone? the flight will have stop over in delhi and frankfort, and possibly a night stay at delhi will they provide hotel facility,will they ensure safety Travel Tips Congratulations... Since you're going through Frankfurt.. you must be flying Lufthansa. Delhi - Frankfurt - Toronto shouldnt be a problem... The airport in Frankfurt is very user friendly.. and if you use some logic and read the sign posts it will easily guide you to the correct gate from where you can board for Toronto... The important thing is to look at your itinerary.. go to the exact Terminal and Gate number.. There are plenty of monitors put up and you can check your flight number and time of departure. Make sure you set the time back to Frankfurt time when you get of the plane from Delhi... all timings on your itinerary are local times... Regarding baggage... again I'm not sure how you're reaching Delhi.. Most likely you'll have to collect your baggage at Delhi airport and then check them in at the International Airport. So when you checkin at the Delhi airline counter...ask them to send your bags all thru to toronto. Just carry one handbag with necessary supplies. There's a check on the amount of liquids and lotions etc that you can carry in your handbag. You can keep small quantitites. From kerala to Delhi.. you'll have to transfer from the Domestic Airport to the International airport. Check with your domestic carrier/ travel agent if they'll do an internal transfer or whether you have to collect your bags and come out of the domestic airport and then take a cab to the International airport. If you're flying Lufthansa.. they also have flights from Bangalore daily. In which case it would be easier for someone to accompany you till Bangalore and board from Blore to F'furt. Others yes it's safe FIrst of all Congrats to rejoin ur Hubby ya its completely safe u might be using air India they will stop for 2 hours at farnkfurt for refueling and cleaning they will take u to terminal where u can strech ur legs. if u r travelling on Lufthansa check the transit time at frankfurt and any terminal change i am sure u will fly from the same terminal . dont worry at all in case of any problem feel free to contact local staff there they r very helpfull Hai Janaki, Please don't reveal to anyone that you are travelling for the first time. Get a mobile 1100/- rupees and contact ur relatives whenever possible. Ask doubts to air hostess and other staff and not to fellow passengers.
