Moving to Toronto? |
Travel Info I'm moving there (by myself) for college in the fall. (I'm from Florida..so BIG change ahead..) I wondered whats a good way to meet people around there besides going to clubs/bars all the time. Thanks for ur help :) Travel Tips You won't have any problems when you're here. Join a sports team or club in college. Hope you're going to the University of Toronto (my alma mater) Good luck Others Thanks to everyone for ur advice :) Yeah, if you're in res especially, you'll have no problems. I also suggest joining a sprots team or any of the other clubs that exist at your college. I'd also suggest going to Kensington Market once you're in Toronto, because it's fun and there's a lot of young people. There's a lot of things to do in Toronto and depending on what you're into (whether it be sports, art, or film) you'll have a lot of chioces. Good luck! I think ur college will provide u good networking Opprotunties with in the student comunity. visiting Clubs is also a good idea for some thing extra best of luck You will have no problems at all. Canadian schools in general attract a lot of international students, and they are more than accommodating. This is besides the point though, since most students will be in the same boat as you, and everyone will be super friendly and looking to meet new friends etc. And if you are in Residence, then trust me, you will have a dozen new friends by the end of Frosh week. Toronto is a great city, you'll have an amazing time, trust If you're going to be going to the University of Toronto, check out this site. It's got a lot of information on clubs & activities. |
