Travel Info I want to travel to canada to live &work there with my kids so i want to get a visa & then i hope to obtain a permanent residance card so i want to know the right steps should i do..I have alote of friends there & I am a pharmacist... Travel Tips It sounds like you will need to apply for a Skilled Worker Visa, permanent residence status. It's a long process - expect it to take at least 2-3 years, maybe more depending on your country of current residence. You might be able to get into the country sooner if you have a current job offer and your company chooses to sponsor you and even then, you are still on temporary status. Check out the official site and look through ALL of it for good information: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/ind... For personal experiences, check out this discussion forum: www.immigration.ca Source(s): Just got my Skilled Worker Visa!!! Other Travel Tips http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html... this is the website you need to view to move to Canada as a permanent resident. check www.cic.gc.ca It is a long process, some countries take like 4 or 5 years, some take 1, it depends on your country It is not very easy to get a job as a pharmacist (probably one of the hardest professions to get a job here) but if you have friends here that will help you big time!! Contact your local pharmacist. You should be able to move to Canada with no problems. We function on a 'points' system and they really give points for education. |
