The Canadian laws and policies are well structured to give immigrants their deserved chance at integrating into their new country. Unlike some other European countries who restrict the certain govt or civil service jobs to immigrants, I've seen immigrants occupy various noble positions or diverse fields in Canada-at least the French part. My advice if you will settle in Quebec (French Canada), these people are traumatised by their lost in war to the English and want to be distinguished clearly from the rest of Canada. They are strong patriots who want to preserve the French minority heritage left.
