What is the easiest way to get the P.Eng. license in Ontario province? |
Travel Info I will be moving to Canada as an immigrant and I would like to get the professional engineering license as soon as possible. The details of my qualifications are: I am a bachelor鈥檚 degree holder in Chemical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore, Pakistan. I have around seven years of experience in conventional steam turbine and combined cycle power plant, desalination and de-mineralization plant and water treatment plants including sewage water plant. Also if somebody can suggest any web site advertising power plant related jobs? Travel Tips Since your degree was earned outside Canada, you'll need to have your educational qualifications assessed to see if they meet Canadian standards (I believe you will need to pay for this yourself). Please see the link below for more information. Source(s): http://www.ccpe.ca/e/imm_immigrating.cfm... Other Travel Tips http://www.peo.on.ca/ I don't know if there is a shortage of "professional engineers" with your background in Canada, however I would advise you to start surfing the net for companies in Canada that would hire people in your profession and contact them. If you can locate a company that is in need of your expertise they may be able to sponsor you and that will shorten your immigration process and once here with their help get you accredited license to work in the field. Also there are many Pakistani organizations here in Canada and contacting them may get you advice both for immigration and employment. Good Luck |
