Toronto or Montreal? |
Travel Info Which of these Canadian cities is friendlier, smarter, safer, good to raise a family in, better in general, etc... and why? Why is the other one not? Travel Tips Hi I live in montreal and I go back and forth to toronto as well. Montreal is safer and way les expensive than toronto. But the only thing with montreal is you need to speak french to get a job. Montreal houses are way less than toronto and it is known we are safer here. but yet toronto does have a lot of opportunity as far as jobs go. hope this helps :) good luck! Source(s): me :) Other Travel Tips TO all the way... Toronto is better because they speak english and french people are rude. Toronto officially ranks higher as a more livable city, according to the Economist Intellligence Unit. Montreal is also colder, snowier, and full of French people. Toronto also has better employment opportunities, lower unemployment rate, and speaks English. Living in Montreal might be a little more European, while Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world. In Montreal, you can get more social benefits like pharmaceuticals and child-care, but overall, Toronto all the way. Toronto is better to raise a family in, friendlier, and more interesting and diverse. Both are great cities. Montreal has a bit more history to it. It has great walking and cycling paths, some say the best of North America's large cities. Great restaurants and a european feel to it. Toronto has the better economy and more happening. Slightly better weather and access to the US. English is the language, although Montreal still has a large english speaking population. Both are safe and good places to raise a family. Depends on what you are looking for, but I would learn towards Toronto if you are english speaking. I lived in toronto for 11 years and i don't think it's a safe city. I've never lived in Montreal, just visited, it seemed more artsy and interesting, and I always hear great stories about it too. |
