Getting from Toronto To Algonquin Park? |
Travel Info My friends and i are planning a trip to Algonquin park. Right now our biggest problem is getting there. Our question is how do we get to Shall Lake Access point 17, in order to get to kitty lake cabin, which is in farm lake. We can take a car, but we are wondering if there was another way like by train or something. I want to stress that we are VERY NEW to this camping thing and so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Travel Tips Ok, I may be able to help. First you want to get on the 400 north to Barrie. Then, get on HWY 11 (yonge st.) and head north past Orillia until you reach Huntsville, at which point take the eastbound Hwy 60 right into Algonquin Park. At the entrance there is the Warden Station which has all the info in regards to locations throughout the Park. At this point I should tell you that Hwy 60 is the only main road into the park, so you really can't miss it if your on Hwy 60. Good Trip and Enjoy. Others Ooo....I live so close to algonquin park! Yay :) Uhh, Algonquin park is in toronto....isnt it? If driving I would take the hwy 400 up to Algonquin Park to to get to where you want I am sure that someone at the park can point you in the right direction. Either that why not call Algonquin park and ask I am sure they would be happy to help you out. Listen to JD. He's got it right. Are you sure you haven't booked a site you have to paddle into ? Take your car. There is no alternative. |
