Public transportation vs cab in Toronto? |
Travel Info I'll be visiting Toronto very soon and was wondering if I can get to my hotel in downtown via a cab? Or public transportation is my only option? Also do I have to call a cab when I need one, or I can just hail one from the street? Thanks! Travel Tips You can go anywhere you'd like in Toronto via cab.....mind you it is more expensive than public transportation. Taking that TTC (public transport) costs $ 2.75......cabs charge per mileage. Generally cabs are available from most street corners.....particularly in downtown Toronto & they are usually available outside hotels. If you are planning on catching one from a show or restaurant or late at night.....maybe you should call and arrange for one to meet you. Have a great time in Toronto. TTC is ok. Taxis are plentiful, but if you need one for sure at a specific time and place, and are in a hurry, you can call to order one, they'd be there in several minutes.
