Why more black criminals now?

How come when you hear of a crime in toronto these days, its usually a black person commiting it?
growing up in toronto in the 80s/90s, i had no idea that there was ever a stereotype of blacks being criminals...every murder i heard of in the late 80s/early 90s in toronto was either commited by a white/italian maffia or a chinese gang. i remember hearing alot about asian gangs in toronto growing up but nothing about blacks even though statscan shows that there was almost as many blacks in toronto in 1991 as there is now.

then why now are so many murderers black in toronto? is it the influence of gangsta rap? i rmember rap in the 80s but it seemed so innocent and light-hearted compared to todays cop-killer lyrics.

so basically im asking...why so many white and asian killers then, and so many black ones now even though the demographics have hardly changed?

why is everyone so hung up on color? If the ozone layer was made from the love of the people on this earth, we all would be dead. why don't you use some of that brain of yours to figure out why women and children are being raped by perverts. How to make our school systems better. Making a better environment for our families to be more safer.

as the above answerers say, its a controversial topic to examine the racial aspect of criminal demographics, although in my opinion, its somewhat important, since it has tie-ins with culture

i can write a fifty page essay on this, but just remember that most crimes (including gangs i think) are done within the racial groups (intra) i e black on black, white on white
Can I give you an honest answer that most people are afraid of sharing? It is my understanding that most of Toronto's recent shootings have involved gang members who have recently immigrated from Jamaica. It's not black people, it's young Jamaican men. They either believe that they're hood, or they have some sort of battle that they've dragged over with them from Jamaica. Either way, it hasn't been pretty.
