Travel Info How good or bad is the area around finch and middlefield in Toronto? Travel Tips It's usually considered a very dangerous part of Toronto. There is a lot of crime in that area, and I try to avoid it, especially at night. Others I used to lived in the Malvern area and everyone used to say it's a very bad area to live, I know a few people that lives in the Finch area in Scarborough too and like me never had a problem with anyone. It's not as bad as the media portrays it all.... it's a very multi-cultural area and the progress in that area is going up so fast that buying a property there is now as expensive as everywhere else in Toronto. There's hospital near by, varieties of stores, Rec centres, schools and community centres.Just curiosity, Are you planning to move there???? Generally anywhere in the Scarborough area is not 100% safe. I've been living in Toronto for nearly 4 years now, and I used to live in Markham and I would prefer Markham WAY more as it is a quieter town where not much happens. But if you like the place, I suggest keeping your doors locked and maybe setting up an alarm in your condo. Good luck with it. |
