Which universities are located in Toranto? |
Travel Info For master degree preferably. And which one of them are the best ones. Tnx. Travel Tips University of Toronto York University Ryerson University UofT has a good reputation. In general Uof T has the best masters programs. But it depends what you want to study. Law at York (Osgoode Hall) has great reputation. Others masters programs at U of T are better. Uof T is better situated in terms of amenities and transportation since it's in the downtown core. Accommodations near York might be cheaper. Others University of Toronto York University Forget Toronto though, go to Montreal ... or Vancouver. Those are hot areas with great scenes. Toronto is mayo on white bread with club soda/salt water chaser. Masters in what? For some areas (ie, Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Poly Sci. MBA) there are better schools University of Toronto is a world renowed university but more difficult to get into. York is good but not as reputable as UofT. Ryerson is a university only in polite company. Ryerson University is a good school to consider. http://www.ryerson.ca/home.html... City of Toronto link is below for all universities and colleges in the city. It gives some info on each university plus their links. University of Toronto, Ryerson University and York University are in Toronto. As for where to study depends on what you are specializing in. http://www.toronto.ca/quality_of_life/un... U of T is good for a Masters in Engineering, Science, Theology, Philosophy, Politics and Education. Actually any field you choose is a safe bet really. Of the three in the city, it is the oldest and most reputable. York would be the best choice specifically for a Masters in Law and Business (Osgoode and Schulich respectively); however, be aware that both faculties have very stringent admission requirements...more so than their counterparts at U of T. Ryerson also offers Masters program which I think should be just fine...however, Ryerson has yet to take its rightful place among the heavyweights (i.e. the previous two) in Ontario. You may also want to check out the Masters programs offered at McMaster, in Hamilton (Engineering, Arts and Science) and University of Guelph (Business, Science). Both universities are less than an hour away from Toronto. |
