Travel Tips I think birth certificates are no longer valid for travel to and from the U.S. according to the new rules introduced back in January-February this year. You will definitely need a passport. Others I'm pretty sure a new law was passed stating that a passport is necessary if you cross the US border. i think you need a passport, or a valid driver's lisence. A passport is not required but you may want to take something for proof if you are worried. I wouldn't hurt. What nationality are you? Sometimes those immigration officers get pretty picky. I work in Tourism If you are driving to Canada from USA, all you need for now is a photo ID (driver's license) and proof of citizenship (birth certificate). If you FLY between the countries, you will need the passport. Starting sometime in 2008, you will also need the passport to drive between Canada and US so it is best to get one now if you can to avoid the long delays when people rush to get one. |
