How much would a pound of dressed chicken cost in Trinidad & Tobago?

Travel Info
I am planning to stay in Port of Spain for an undetermined number of days. Actually I am making a survey how much would I spend for a meal in Trinidad

Travel Tips
dressed chicken? well one in a tuxedo is like $100 and ah ghetto one in some pum pum shorts is like $30...lol.

Actually if u talking about already seasoned chicken, thats about $15-20. Try buying it already rotissiered (is that a word?lol) from Hilo or one the supermarkets. It cost about $25-$30 then but it cheaper and easier in the long run

Normal take away food would cost between $15 - 30 dollars, if u spend more than that then something wrong or u went to an expensive place! Source(s): used to wuk in Hilo
Other Travel Tips
If you staying in the city and ha no local contacts you may tend to go to the restaurants that are familiar, such as TGIF. A good meal with drinks can run you about $30 US and more. If you have someone to take you to the local spots in St. James and Mucorapo Road you could spend about $6 US per meal.

Remember it is better to pay in local currency because you will get "jacked" on the exchange rate if you don't.

Have fun.
But wut di backside is a pung of dressed chicken? All yuh speakin' in tounges or what.
Trinidad meat processing and packaging standards are not comparabel to those of the US.

We do not usually sell dressed pieces of meat ... you might get lucky in the supermarket where they may if they package the meat themselves "dress" the chicken for presentation sake...

In terms of meals .... we have satisfying meals like fast food KFC, Popeyes, Long John Silvers and Burger King ( average to spend TT$23.00 for 2 piece with fries and drink or about TT$25.00 for a whopper meal, for a small meal of fried rice, chow mien vegetables and chinese style chicken average about TT$15.00 )

Locals have their own secret places... I recommend Breakfast Shed for both Breakfast and Lunch excellent spread of food... but to be honest if you eat breakfast there you may not need to eat until mid afternoon.

Alternatively you can fill up on doubles ( flour fired bread and curreid chick peas with various accompaniments) for approximately TT$1.50 for one.

There is also indian cuisine in the form of roti... a soft flour "bread" that can be filled with curried meat and vegetables. Vegetarian rotis can start from as little as TT$7.00 and meat filled rotis can range up to TT$45.00 depending on the meat selected.

Trinidad also has several fine dining establishments. including Il Collesseo, Tan MaK Thai, Rasam, Prime, Melane, Plantation House to name a few... if you would like to have a meal there budget about TT$500.00 a person including tips.

We also have Ruby Tuesdays and TGI Fridays here ... budget about TT$250 per person to visit these establishments.

I'll tell you one thing we trinis love our tummies... so food in never ever far away...

i hope this helps some.
